Application Engineer – Industrial Hoses (Gujarat)

About the Role

Innovative Engineering Products Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a field-oriented Application Engineer to identify, understand, and develop industrial hose applications across Gujarat.

This role focuses on scouting real plant applications, understanding operating conditions, and promoting premium industrial hose solutions used in fluid transfer, material handling, and process industries. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the shop floor, interacting with maintenance and engineering teams, and translating application insights into solution-led opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Application Scouting & Opportunity Development

• Visit industrial plants across Gujarat to identify hose and fluid-transfer applications such as hydraulic, chemical transfer, air, water, steam, oil, slurry, and abrasive media.

• Study existing hose installations, failure patterns, safety risks, and performance gaps.

• Understand operating parameters including pressure, temperature, media compatibility, routing, movement, and environment.

• Recommend suitable premium industrial hose solutions based on application requirements.

Technical Engagement & Solution Promotion

• Engage with maintenance engineers, reliability teams, project engineers, and plant managers.

• Provide application-level technical guidance and product recommendations.

• Support the sales team in converting technical opportunities into commercial orders.

• Assist customers with best practices for hose selection, routing, assembly, and installation.

Market Development

• Promote premium hose solutions as long-term, reliable, and safety-focused alternatives rather than commodity replacements.

• Identify conversion opportunities from unbranded or lower-grade hoses.

• Support trials, demonstrations, and pilot installations where required.

Coordination & Feedback

• Coordinate with internal sales, operations, and warehouse teams for smooth execution.

• Document applications, opportunity status, and field learnings.

• Share structured feedback on market trends, competitor practices, and emerging customer needs.

Desired Profile

Education

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline.

Experience

• 2–6 years of experience in industrial applications, preferably involving:

  • Industrial hoses

  • Hydraulics / pneumatics

  • Fluid handling systems

  • MRO or plant maintenance environments

• Prior field or application engineering exposure is strongly preferred.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong interest in hands-on industrial applications.

• Comfortable with extensive travel across Gujarat.

• Observational and analytical mindset able to diagnose application problems.

• Ability to explain technical solutions clearly and practically.

• Self-driven, curious, and capable of working independently in the field.
